With WirelessKeyView, you can find all the wireless network key numbers (WEP / WPA) that you have previously typed from your computer.

It is really important to use strong passwords to secure the Wi-Fi connection. When you forget the passwords we put in the modem for safer thinking, all you have to do is access the computer where the Wi-Fi connection is registered. In this guide, how do we find Wi-Fi passwords on Windows and Mac? We tried to tell you.

How to find a Wi-Fi password in Windows

There are two different ways to view Wi-Fi passwords in Windows. These are command prompt and a third-party tool. First, let’s explain how to find Wi-Fi passwords through Command Prompt.

First, we use the Windows key + R shortcut to open the Run console and type cmd and press Enter.

After the Command Prompt is opened we type the following command and press Enter again: netsh wlan show profiles

This command will list all the Wi-Fi SSIDs stored on your computer. After noting the name of the network you’re using, we’ll run the following command to enter that name in the corresponding field: netsh wlan show profile name = Wi-Fi key = clear

After performing the last command, you can see the password of the Wi-Fi network when you review the Key Content section under Security settings among the information listed.

If you want to find a Wi-Fi password with third-party software, you can use the WirelessKeyView application. When you start the app after downloading it, you can see the list of directly registered Wi-Fi networks and their passwords.

How to find Wi-Fi password on Mac

You can access Wi-Fi passwords stored on the Mac through the Keychain Access application. After starting the application, we follow System> Category> Passwords.

You will see a list of all saved Wi-Fi networks with their SSIDs. Double-click the network whose password you want to see. When you pass the verification steps here, you can access the password of the Wi-Fi network.
